Stand Up for Families
More than 300 people gathered at the Fountains in Carmel for our annual fundraiser Stand Up for Families on November 14 to support our programs and services. The event, which also served as the kickoff event for our 175th anniversary in 2010, included a buffet dinner, live music, and stand-up comedy by Bob & Tom Comedy All-Star Costaki Economopulous. The event raised approximately $70,000 via items sold at both a silent and live auction, individual donations, and through corporate sponsorships. Family Service receives $36,930 in JARC operating assistance
Family Service of Central Indiana received $36,930 in Job Access and Reverse Commute (JARC) operating assistance to provide continued support of our car loan program. This program helps low-income individuals acquire vehicles for accessing and sustaining employment. In return, loan recipients are required to proactively share their resource by car pooling with others.Read more...
