VISTAS - Caregivers
Many people do not know where to turn when concerns arise with aging family members who may need extra help to maintain their independent lifestyle. In other cases, developmental disabilities or mental health issues can make it difficult for adults to make appropriate decisions and manage their personal affairs. Our team of professional counselors and homemakers provide the supportive care that protects the well-being of vulnerable adults and enables them to be as independent as possible.

Our Program

VISTAS ™ is a care management program of Family Service of Central Indiana, Inc. – an organization that has been serving older and challenged adults for more than 60 years.

Our experienced staff can help ensure that your loved one is:
  • Living in a safe environment
  • Receiving appropriate medical care
  • Completing daily tasks such as self-care and housekeeping
  • Managing mail, correspondence and personal finances
  • Engaging socially with family and friends
  • Connecting with other community services and resources as needed
  • Protected from exploitation, abuse and self-neglect

Helping older and challenged adults live with dignity, safety, and maximum possible independence.

Our Services

  • Comprehensive in-home assessment to identify strengths and needs
  • Individualized care planning with client participation
  • Delivery and coordination of appropriate, high quality in-home services
  • Linkage with community resources and benefit programs
  • Assistance with housekeeping, grocery shopping, and errands
  • Escorted transportation to medical appointments
  • Communication with family members, caregivers, and health care providers
  • Assistance with transition to a new environment when indicated
  • Assistance with managing mail, paying bills, and other financial matters
  • Guardianship, power of attorney and representative payee services as needed
